Gluten Free Eating
Some things I have discovered is that eating is insanely expensive when you have to follow a specific diet! Just buying a box of crackers can be up to double the price just because they say "gluten free". It's something that can be frustrating and we can complain about it, but I'm finding paying a bit more for my food is worth it because I feel much better when I am eating the way my body needs.
As a made a switch from a fastfood diet to a gluten free and healthy eating diet the first days I had a wicked headache after the initial 24 hours were past. But as day 4 came around I started noticing less bloating pains and looser waistbands on my pants. It wasn't until switching to GF (gluten free) a year after having my gallbladder removed that the painful bloating started to subside.
Some of my favorites are:
1. Juanita's gluten free chips with ground beef, shredded cheese and some sour cream for dipping. Depending on how much you make it could be lunch or just an evening snack. (The air fryer makes crisp nachos, fry at 400 degrees for 3-5 minutes)
2. Blue Diamond nut thins with sea salt and The Laughing Cow cheese wedges are another great snack. The crunch of the cracker is like eating a potato chip and they are salty just like a chip. Another great option is nut thins and peanut butter.
3. Cashews and babybel Cheeses
4. Brownie Fatbombs- I have the recipe posted in my blog! These are so good and hard to eat just 1, you want to eat them all.
5. Keto Taco Soup (which I have posted my recipe!) A hot bowl of soup always leaves your belly full.
6. Premier Protein shakes. Chocolate, caramel, and apple cinnamon with oats are my favorite flavors. Refrigerated tastes the best.
