2021 In A Nutshell


We had a wild ride for 2021. Alexander was born, I started working part time for door dash, we bought a house 9-2-2021 then Brent changed from In home caregiving to working for Amazon as a packer. 


We made an offer 7-11-21 on the house and got accepted the same day. From there it was a whirlwind of making improvements to the house to get the house to pass the VA inspection. Within a few days of making the offer we were already in the house doing updates. We removed carpet, painted exterior, removed a carport, landscaping, chimney caps, cleaning, stair updates, everything! The kids were blessed and the sellers left the trampoline for us and the kids use it often when the weather allows. 

Before Thanksgiving I got a regular scheduled job working janitorial for the bank then the day before Thanksgiving I got sick with covid. 11-27-21 we got a positive test for covid. This is when the year fell apart. many family members got sick including my dad who has been the sickest with it and is currently in ICU on life support. The doctor does not expect my dad to make it out of this and I feel absolutely responsible for him getting sick.

This is a simple recipe, you can have everything prepped in 5 minutes! No slaving over a pot for hours, and if you use a tin pan you can toss the empty pan after its eaten and no dishes get dirty.  Just dump everything in the sheet pan, pop in the oven, and soon you will have a delicious dessert.  I used:  2 cans of apple pie filling 1 bag of kraft caramel bits  1 box of yellow cake mix  8oz of butter (fully melted)  *Optional vanilla ice cream  To make use a 13x9 inch pan lightly sprayed with pam cooking oil. Add both cans of pie filling to greased pan and spread evenly then top the apple mix with the caramel bits. After you have that done sprinkle the dry cake mix over the mixture (dont mix anything!).
