The Great Flood of 2022

1-6-22 we woke up to a huge river in our yard and garage at 6AM and it was a real shock. When we went to bed the night before there was only rain, 6ish hours later there was a solid foot of standing water surrounding our house. This was the first major flood in 7 years.

Thank God there was not flowing water inside the living dwelling, just the garage. Nearly every item that was lost in the flood can be replaced, the gifted bible that got wet we are drying out and we will put in a shadow box to ensure it's going to last. 

The kids had so much fun watching the flooding come up and go down. And when school was cancelled due to flooding they were on cloud nine. 

SODE NOTE: 

The kids are so ready to get back to school tomorrow! First, they were out because of covid, them 1.5 days back to school then winter break. Next, they were back 1 day, then grandpa passed away. Finally, it flooded and school was cancelled. In the last month and a half they have gotten 3 days of school. Getting up and ready for school in the morning should be a challenge.
